Editorial policy
Our guides help behavioral health groups prepare for delegated credentialing and NCQA Credentialing Accreditation. We work from primary sources, show where every fee and time limit comes from, and date our updates, so you know what you can rely on.
Who writes our guides
The Delegate team writes and edits every guide. Delegate is an independent consultancy and is not affiliated with NCQA. NCQA decides accreditation outcomes, and each payer decides whether to delegate.
Where the facts come from
- We work from primary sources: NCQA program pages and standards, payer provider and delegation manuals, and public sources such as the OIG exclusion list, SAM.gov and CMS.
- Every guide ends with a Sources and check dates section that lists what we used and when we last checked it.
- NCQA standards are copyrighted. Our checklists describe what to prepare in our own words, and we point you to NCQA for the official standards and current fees.
Fees, time limits and payer requirements
These change. When a guide mentions a fee, a time limit or a payer requirement, we show where it came from and ask you to confirm it with NCQA or the payer before you rely on it.
Dates and updates
Each guide shows the date it was published. When we revise a guide in a meaningful way, we show the date of that update too.
Corrections
If you spot an error or an outdated detail, tell us through the contact form. We will review it and update the guide if it needs a fix.
How to use the guides
Use them to plan your program and find gaps early. They are general information, not legal, tax, financial or medical advice. For decisions about your program, confirm the current standards with NCQA and the requirements with each payer.
